Financed by the German Tenure-Track Programme for Young Researchers, the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena is recruiting a Professor of Political Science (W1) with a specialization on "International Organizations" (Tenure Track). The position is tenable from the summer semester 2019.
In order to sharpen its profile, the Institute of Political Science has developed a new thematic focus called Global and European Governance, which comprises the professorships of International Relations, European Politics, and International Organizations. The new Professor of International Organizations shall be familiar with the entire spectrum of international organization studies in both research and teaching. This may include a focus on governmental and also non-governmental organizations. In addition, the professorship should cover a specific policy area that defines the work of international organizations today, such as international security, migration policy, human rights policy, environmental politics, and economic or financial policy.
